Fall Join Nights
We are looking forward to the fall recruitment of new Cub Scouts! There will NOT be a Council-wide Fall Round-Up for Cub Scouts as there has been in years past. However, we would still like your unit to join us in the effort to spread the Scouting message and program to new boys in your school and neighborhood by conducting a Join Scouting Night with in the first 3 weeks of your school starting.
Please let us know who your coordinator will be and when and where the join night will be held. Units may also request flyers for upcoming join nights at this link.
Please join us for Join Night Training on Thursday, August 5, 2010 7:00 PM (same night and location as Roundtable)
Your District Executives are available to help with join nights and conducting in school boy talks. If you would like assistance from Joey Quick or David Lemon please contact them.
It is very important to the Denver Area Council that we try to coordinate our efforts to have a join night at every single Cub Scout Pack in the district, and we are prepared to offer our units the training, supplies, and support they need to register a record number of boys in the Cub Scout program!
Fall Merit Badge College
The Arapahoe District Merit Badge College will be held October, 16, 2010 from 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM. The location is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 9800 Foothills Canyon Blvd in Highlands Ranch. Cost is $5 per class period. Scouts should bring a sack lunch, paper and pen. Some Merit Badge may require work before or after the college to complete the requirements for the badge.

Cub Scout Day Camp
Arapahoe District held its 3-day camp June 23-25. It was a great success. Big Thank you to our Camp Director, Kathryn McEntire, Program Director Cathy Emmelkamp, and Registrar Amy Caro. Also a big thank you to all the other staff that helped to make this possible.

Fall Camporee Raise the Flag High
Hosted by Littleton LDS Stake
September 24-26 Magness Adventure Camp Peaceful Vally Scout Ranch
Cost: $12 for Scouts, $5 for adults and Webelos if paid by September 6, 2010 (additional $5 thereafter)
Program ends at the Saturday evening campfire. Units are welcome to stay Sunday but there will be no formal program. There is an additional cost of $4.00 per person to camp Saturday night into Sunday . if you would like to stay the additional night please select the number of individuals when you complete the online registration.
